About Launchstand

Launchstand shows the top products across indie launch boards on one page, so a maker can see where their launch placed without opening a tab for each board.

If you run a board and found us in your logs

Every request we make identifies itself and links back here:

launchstand.co/0.1 (+https://launchstand.co/about)

If you would rather we did not, say so and we stop. One email is enough. No form, no appeal, and we do not ask why. Write to hello@launchstand.co and the board is switched off, along with everything already collected from it.

What a board gets out of this

Reading a board is only worth doing if the board is better off for it. Four things come back the other way:

  • Clicks you can see are ours. Every row links back to your listing, and we deliberately do not strip the referrer — so we show up in your analytics as launchstand.co rather than disappearing into direct traffic.
  • A page of your own here. Your standings, your cadence and your way in, at a permanent URL, in our sitemap, and linked from every product page of a product that launched with you — find yours from the standings.
  • Your name on the result. A reader who finds a product here is told which board it placed on and how far ahead it was — in your words, and with a link to submit to you.
  • Followed links, if you publish an API. Boards that give us a documented endpoint get ordinary followed links to their listings; boards we read off the page get nofollow. Placements you disclose as paid are marked sponsored either way, because that is what they are. Email us and the endpoint is all it takes.

How we read a board

  • Your API, where you publish one. Otherwise we read the leaderboard as it is served to any visitor, and nothing else on the site.
  • The visible standings only. We do not walk your catalogue, follow pagination, or touch anything behind a login.
  • One request at a time, well spaced. A board that turns over slowly is read less often than one that turns over daily, and a board that fails is backed off rather than retried.
  • Never on a page load. Only our scheduler goes out, on its own timetable. Your server never does work for our readers — however busy this site gets, it is the same handful of requests a day.

What we store

We keep Why
Rank, score and period The standing itself, which is the whole point.
Product name and link So a row can be identified and sent back to you.
Paid-placement flag Where you disclose it, we repeat the disclosure rather than hiding it.
The tagline you published Kept per listing and shown in quotation marks, attributed to the board that wrote it. Two boards pitch the same product differently, and we never merge, rewrite or average those sentences.
Logo URL The address only. Images load from your CDN in the reader's browser and are never copied onto our storage.

Every row links back to your listing, and we never re-rank a board's own results. A position here is the position you published.

Launchstand is not affiliated with any board listed. Every name, logo and standing belongs to the board that published it.
